Tom Simpson

Tom Simpson grew up amid the natural wonders of the Waitaki Valley, in southern New Zealand. His early drawing and painting pursuits were an attempt to capture the stunning visuals of the local landscape, and to explore the inner terrains of his imagination.

After completing a Bachelor of Design in 2005, Tom spent a number of years working as a freelance designer and illustrator. He is currently focussing on developing his abilities as an oil painter, inspired by the majestic landscapes of Central Otago.

Tom lives in Arrowtown, New Zealand. When he’s not at his easel, he can be found exploring the local hiking trails or paddleboarding on Lake Hayes.
