Studios

The Studios at the Queenstown Arts Centre were set-up in response to the desire for local artists to have a space to develop their practice and their art.

Over our 14 years of operation we have seen a wide variety of artists working in the studios; sculptors, painters, installation, jewellery and textile artists, each one using the studios as an opportunity to develop their work further. At any one

At any one time we can have up to 14 artists working in their studios and visitors to the Arts Centre can enjoy the opportunity to see the artists creating their current works. There are many examples of the studio artist’s work on the corridor walls for you to view. We are always looking for new artists to join our creative space, as studio space becomes available.

To apply for a studio space please contact us in the first instance and we will then arrange a meeting with the Studio Manager to view your work and talk about your plans.
